Letter from Andrea, January 2007

Good Afternoon everybody:

Assuming you are at the meeting right now, i will be short in my words, i hope that everybody understand my unpractices english, but i know that Phil or Jerry will pulísh this letter, hoping that it got to the meeting, and is been read right now.

I was a Foreign exchange student in 2004-2005, year in wich i learned values of having a home and family away and also having and meeting new people from around the world, oh well i dont want to make this long because i would get sad of just remeber the awesome time I spend in Red Wing, MN.

Well i will say some things that are going on right now in my life and in Santa Cruz de la sierra, Bolivia, my home Country. This year i am gonna start mys second year at colleges, i am in two colleges studying 2 careers at the same time (Law, and International relations), so watch out Paul..., because i could make a law that says the correct way to say it is "the soup is pooffy(i spelled like this guys because it pronounce it like that, funny ha?) hahahahahahaha, no really soon i will be a coleage of any lawyers in the room.

I am also a new member of my Rotaract Club Grigota, the youngest in the district, and the rebelious one too, but i behave dont worry, is a great group of people in wich i enjoy serving to the comunity like example of you people, great Rotarians that allways follow tha path of goodnes and service, i never forget those who helped me thrue the year up there, and also laugh of my bad pronounciation, but just wait until you speak spanish, haha i will be there....no just kiding.

I am also sending a new picture of me, because the one in your web page is really bad, you should see it, they put me next to Phil, so go figure.....hahhaha, no really, is just that at that time the American food didnt like me that much, but i loved it, so imaging just the rest, hahhaha. I am planing to come back soon, but the thing is that isreally hard for aforeign get into the states, and that is backing me up alot, i also because the new goverment, that is making so many problem.

To finish this letter i want to mentions one proyect that my club the Rotaract, is doing and i thing u will like it.

We are building ecologic houses, what that means? That the whole house is made of platic bottles, and cans, is the first proyect of this kind.

We are doing this in a comunity close to our city, is a really poor comuniy and people dont even have a bed or a roof to live in, so this proyect is not only areason to give them shelter, is gonna be a turistic comunity, that way besides all that the will have incomes of people goindto see the houses build by them.

It is true that we could of build concret houses but, it would it been turistic or any new, besides help the ecosystem that is so bad right now, well i am sending pics of one house and the proyect inself.
Well i have to say goodbye i am sorry if this letter was too long, but i just got excited because i miss you all. Love and peace to everybody, i will see you soon. Bye.
