On Jan. 30,
we held our annual Rotary Kid's Ice Fishing Contest at Pottery
Pond. More than 40 kids entered the contest in which five large
trout and numerous sunfish were caught. Great prizes, hot chocolate,
fish-shaped cookies, and lots of smiling faces made it a very
successful event. Thanks to all who helped.
On Jan. 26
Bruce Carlstrom of Lake City told us about Freedom Honor Flights,
a program that flies WW II veterans to Washington DC for a one-day
visit to the WW II memorial - all for free.
